When turning up to the day of the event i had to previous experience with the trial run due to the fact that i was in fact on work experience but none the less i turned up with a positive attitude and was ready to join someone that had already trailed it. Mr Scarborough paired me up with Danny that was doing relay running down the end of the field.
I helped Danny set up the cones and we both went though the rules and format of which we were running the event we also discussed the roles of the year 6 leaders.
When talking about the event to the children me and Danny took turns in explaining it and demonstrating it, and we both did so clearly and in a manner that they could understand. we assigned the year 6 leaders a group so they could record the number of times that they 'high fived ' counting the number of times that they had run there and back. We encourage the children and parents not taking part to encourage the children and house groups.

We had to improvise on times of races throughout the day depending on year group but i believe that me and Danny copped very well and were much organised in getting the children around out activity in the allotted time.
This experience was very enjoyable; it boosted my confidence when working with young children and Danny’s as well. We both worked well and efficiently together.
